PURPOSE:To reduce a change in the size of an ink particle so that a high-quality picture may be recorded by grouping following signals whose influence on the size of ink particles are almost the same and changing the level of the following signals. CONSTITUTION:A driving waveform 10 is outputted from a multiplier 9 which multiplies an input signal from an input terminal 7 by an output from a gate circuit 13 through a wave-form conversion circuit 8. In the case of an ink gun having a characteristic of m-fold Markov process, signals having almost the same degree of influence on an ink gun are grouped together by means of a logic circuit network 12 into several sets of signal output. These outputs open and close a gate circuit 13. One of the reference signals set beforehand through experimental obtaining of a reference signal level in a reference signal generation circuit 14 is outputted by means of the gate circuit 13. Following this process, waveforms b, f created with picture signals a, e desired to be recorded are transformed into drive signals c, g, so that a string of black points of a uniform size are discharged. |
