<p>The quick-action coupling is for use between two concentric components and typically for securing a trim ring to a vehicle wheel. It comprises a closed spring ring with looped portions protruding into radial recesses in one of the components. The looped portions (11) lie in the plate of the ring (10)and extend radially outwards, being situated radially inside spring tongues (4) on one of the components (5). On the inside of these tongues are the radial recesses (16), while on the outside they have radial bosses (3) with undercuts (2). acting against the other component (1). The tongues are preloaded radially outwards by the ring (10).</p> |
