PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of power supply, by supplying a DC output from an optical battery to the process circuit that is provided near a cartridge and thus eliminating a long lead wire for supply the electric power to the process circuit and an exclusive shell. CONSTITUTION:The irradiating region 9 is irradiated by the light source 8 attached to the dust cover 4, and this light of irradiation is received by an optical battery 7 attached to the upper part of the head shell 5. Thus an electromotive force of a prescribed DC voltage is generated across the battery 7. The cartridge 2 is attached to the head shell 5, and the process circuit 6 is provided near the shell 5, i.e., at the rear end part of the shell 5 in order to process the signal supplied from an impedance converter or the cartridge 2 of a head amplifier or the like. The DC output supplied from the battery 7 is supplied to the circuit 6. |
