TUBE MAT HEAT EXCHANGER A heat exchanger adapted particularly though not exclusively for use in embedded radiant heating systems and including a plurality of tube mats (21) comprising a plurality of tubes (22) arranged parallel to one another and joined by webs (25) and associated manifolds (18, 19) to which the ends of the tubes are connected wherein each tube mat is paired in subsections by an intermediate section where the tubes are free of interconnecting webs. The tube ends are joined to the manifolds by the use of tube-stretching inserts (29).
