摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which performs effective noise reduction processing, considering the results of motion detection in a field-sequential imaging method, and also to provide an endoscopic instrument equipped with the same. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: a motion detecting means 43 for detecting the motion of an object using a first image field signal of each color inputted sequentially by a field-sequential method and a second image field signal of each color which is the first image field signal reduced in noise and stored (42); and a predicted image creating means 46 for creating a predicted image field signal of each color using the detected motion of the object and the second image field signal of the same color as the first image field signal. A noise reducing means used for reducing the noise signal combines the first image field signal inputted at the point of time when it became a target for processing, and the predicted image field signal to perform noise reduction processing 47 on the first image field signal inputted at the point of time when it became a target for processing.
