PURPOSE:To erase accurately an optional part on a magnetic tape, permitting an erasing magnetic head to perform its own function selectively when a reproducing magnetic head performs it own function. CONSTITUTION:Reproducing magnetic head 26 is provided along magnetic tape 20 equipped between reels 16 and 18, and erasing magnetic head 28 and recording magnetic head 30 are provided adjacently in the running direction of the tape. While signals on tape 20 are reproduced via speaker 32 by putting reproducing magnetic head 26 in operation, erasing magnetic head 28 is operated by closing the setting switch of partial erasure mode when the sound corresponding to a part having a signal to be erased is reproduced, thereby erasing it from tape 20. Therefore, an optional part to be erased can accurately be erased by running tape 20 only once, so that the operation can be made extremely easy. |
