<p>An external harness for applying corrective tensions for orthodontal purposes incorporates halter pieces made of a flexible plastic material, pref. polypropylene having a cellular (polyethylene) lining. These halter pieces feature at least two anchorage points (e.g. arcuate slots) for securing an elastic brace for applying tensions to teeth. The halter pieces are connected by adjustable straps (of woven polyester) which pass over and behind the head: pref. these are also of plastic with a cellular cover.</p> |
