The invention relates to a method for connecting the ends of two high-voltage-resistant (high-tension-resistant) coaxial cables having a solid dielectric. According to the invention, the inner conductors of the cable are connected to one another via a crimp sleeve, at which point the dielectric is produced again in the connecting region with the aid of a suitable, insulating adhesive strip which is self-amalgamating. Finally, the outer conductors are connected via a connecting tube (6) which is externally attached to the ends of the two outer conductors via clamping rings (17, 27). As a result of its simple manual operations, the method according to the invention is suitable for use on a building site. <IMAGE>
