<p>There are bearing eyes on the shaft between the lower rollers of the drawing unit and the fixed bearings, to which are suspended fluid loading units for the upper rollers. There is a quick-release mounting to secure the loading units to the bearings in which the shafts rotate for the upper rollers. The design allows fibre material with a short staple length, with a high proportion of short fibres, to be used to give a high quality drawn sliver. There are suitable clamps for the upper roller bearings and the mounting, together with a sliding holder for each mounting for the push-pull action on the upper roller. A piston/cylinder unit can be used for the fluid loading between the bearing eye and the mounting, using selective overpressure or underpressure.</p> |
