<p>The final cooling zone joins onto the grid cooling zone of a tunnel oven used for firing ceramic items, this also comprising preheating and firing zones. A chamber extending over the top of the oven has ports leading to the oven interior, and is connected to the lower part of it by an external pipe containing a fan. The oven draught in the direction of the initial firing zone is formed solely by the exhaust gases from the firing zone, and a heat exchanger is provided, with its primary side in the external pipe and a coolant running through the secondary one. The coolant then supplies a heat-consuming unit.</p> |
