<p>The film is removed from its cassette and looped over a series of rollers through a set of processing tanks and driers. The processed film is fed out of the machine onto a reel. The process rollers are in two sets, one set forming the lower loop points. These are lifted out of the machine by a servo drive to provide a simple straight through threading operation. The film is attached to a leader and is fed straight through the machine. The lower process rollers are dropped into place, forming the film loops. Microswitches monitor the setting of the lower rollers and operate the film drive. No drive belts are required reducing the risk of tearing and the film releasing itself from the belt. The film drive is direct onto the film and a simple and compact processing machine is obtained. The process rollers are easily lifted and swivelled out of the machine for cleaning.</p> |
