<p>WATER-SOLUBLE DYEING COMPOSITIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ANIONIC FIBER-REACTIVE AZO DYESTUFFS AND THEIR USE FOR DYE ING AND PRINTING of the disclosure: Novel, water-soluble dyeing compositions for the preparation of anionic dyestuffs had been found which do not contain the azo dyestuffs themselves but their starting components. These dyeing components contain, or consist of, about stoichiometrical amounts of a diazotizable aromatic amine, of a coupling component and of an alkali metal nitrite, at least one of the diazo or coupling components or both contain a water- solubilizing, free acid group. The dyeing compositions may contain additionally buffer substances and dyeing auxiliaries as usual in the art. The dyeing compositions are capable of forming very easily, if mixed with or stirred into water, aqueous solutions of azo dyestuffs, and these solutions can already be used after a residence of 5 to 30 minutes for the preparation of dyeing baths, dyeing liquors and printing pastes for the dyeing of fiber materials made of cellulose or derivatives thereof or of natural or synthetic polyamide fibers. In accordance with that, it had also been found a process for the coloring of fibers of said materials, wherein the composition is dissolved in water, and the azo dyestuff solution obtained is modified by optionally adding buffer substances and usual dyeing auxiliaries to prepare a usual dyeing liquor or printing paste which is then applied on said fiber material, and the dyestuff is fixed by methods usual in the art.</p> |
