PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized device with high accuracy and quick responding capability, by inserting a small piece of temperature measuring semiconductor, in which an optical absorption terminal matches with wavelength of a light source, into an optical fiber conducting passage which conducts a single-wavelength light, and by detecting intensity of pass-through light. CONSTITUTION:In a conducting passage consisting of optical fibers 1 and 2 which conduct lights from a single-wavelength spectrum light source 10, a temperature detector (or thermometer) 9, which is equipped with a small piece of semiconductor 14 in which an optical absorption terminal matches with wavelength of the light source 10, is inserted. Variation of intensity of light which passes through the temperature detector 9, which is varied by temperature of the absorption terminal wavelength, is detected by a light intensity detecting element 21 for measurement of temperature. It is possible, by doing so, to obtain a small-type temperature measuring device which is stable in a wide temperature range and has a high accuracy and a quick responding performance. |
