Appts. for forming tucks in curtain cloth comprises two sewing machines with pressers, a transversely movable base plate and a stationary base plate adjacent one machine. A pair of upper and lower keep plates, upper and lower expansion spatulas (32)(33) and a width setting spatula (34) are mounted on the movable base plate for movement lengthwise of the cloth and extend over a face plate. A double-tucking plate with two vertically spaced metal sheets extends from the stationary base plate over the face plate adjacent to the width setting spatular and can be moved lengthwise of the cloth.
