CONSTITUTION:The step motor driving device 6 is operated with the forward or reverse signal from the location instructing device 7, and the number of pulses for step motor driving required for the extent of movement of the mobile type inspection car 2 is output. Further, the step motor 5 is forwarded or reversed by the angle according to the number of pulses, and the chain driving gear 4 is forwarded or reversed by the angle according to the rotating angle of the motor 5. Thus, the positioning of the car 2 is made by moving the car 2 driven with the chain 3 moved to the specified position on the monorail 1. At the same time, the rotating angle of the gear 4 is detected at the rotating position detector 8 and the position is displayed on the position display device 9.
