VARIABLE MOUNTING ASSEMBLY FOR TRANSDUCERS EMPLOYED IN REACTOR VESSEL

A transducer(250) is mounted so that it is movable with respect to an array plate(40) on a retaining block which is connected to a yoke which is supported above the array plate. One end of the yoke is rotatably mounted on a circular rod held above the array plate and the other end is supported by a rectangularly shaped bar(252) having a longitudinal slot parallel to the rod. The transducer has flanges(324) which are secured to the top of the yoke. The transducer may be used to examine metal surface, e.g. inside a nuclear reactor.
