摘要 <p>Device for measuring kinematic viscosity consists of a capillary tube (2) containing a measuring vessel (7) defined by annular marks (9,10) and a level vessel (4) below the capillary tube; a filler pipe (1) leads into the level vessel and a pressure-balancing tube (3) is connected to this vessel. The filler pipe (1) is of sufficient diameter throughout its length for pressures above or below atmospheric to act upon the liq. in it with complete effect; the volume of that portion (5) of this filler pipe which lies below the connection point between pressure balancing tube (3) and level vessel (4) is at least as large as the sum of the volumes of the level vessel (4) above the inlet of this pressure-balancing tube (3), of the capillary tube (6), the measuring vessel (7) and the storage bulb (8). Specifically the balancing tube (3) enters the capillary tube above the level of the storage bulb (8) and the volume of that part (5) of the filler tube which is below the connection between balancing tube (3) and level vessel (4) is at least as large as the sum of the volumes of level vessel (4) above this connection point, of balancing tube (3), of capillary (6), of measuring vessel (7) and of the storage bulb (8). Used for the measuring of kinematic viscosity esp. by the Ubbelode principle, using the suspended level. Appts. is esp. suitable for a viscosimeter in which the filling, measuring and cleaning are all carried out automatically. The filler tube also fulfils completely the function of the cleaning tube. Its dia. is sufficiently small for the entire liq. content of the appts. to be sucked out through it.</p>
