The pivoting chair is especially intended for use in an office and consists of a base (1) with feet and a column (4). The maximum pivot angle between the seat (2) and the base (1) can be fixed by a stop piece (9). A disc-shaped first arm (10) on the column is fixed to the first stop piece (18). Underneath it, a second, disc-shaped arm (16) is attached to the second stop piece. A pin (12) held by a spring (14) in one of the parts or arms (10,16) and holes (15) in the other parts or arms (10,16) determine the angle.
