The neutral wire-separator partic. for testing the condition of the insulation of the consumer current networks, comprises a hand switched contact unit within a housing with automatic facility. It is designed to avoid coupling of the switching mechanisms in a simple way. The isolation switch can be opened with the associated protection switch switched on. The switching lever actuating the single pole interrupter contact is now designed two-armed and extends into the swivelling zone of the switch toggle opposite the switch arm with the actuation arm via an angled end piece.
