PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of an ink contacting metallic member without exerting effects on ink by a method wherein an electrode is mounted into the ink, and DC currents are flowed between the electrode and the metallic member, in a recorder according to an electrostatic absorption system, etc. using the aqueous ink. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 9 is inserted to an ink contacting metallic member such as a pipe 5 of an ink feeding course 7, which is formed by an ink storage tank 4, the pipe and an injection nozzle 6, through an insulating member 8, and DC currents are flowed so that the electrode 9 makes up a (+) electrode and the metallic member a (-) electrode by means of a DC power supply 10. A platinum or carbon electrode is used as the electrode 9, and the electrode does not corrode during conduction. Since currents are extremely little at that time, an ink-drop generating section is not affected. When there are a plurality of ink contacting metallic members and these are not connected electrically, resistors R1-R4 for distributing currents may be connected to each and used as (-) electrodes. |
