A cylinder liner (10) comprising an elongate cylindrical sleeve which is open at both ends and which has a smooth internal wall surface (30) of approximately the same diameter throughout, and a profiled external peripheral surface (32), characterised in that, at one end thereof, the sleeve is provided with an annular wall portion (34) of thin wall thickness, the external peripheral surface of which forms a bead-shaped sealing surface (36) which is of convex cross-section and which is bendable inwardly to form a press fit in a recess (17) in a cylinder head (16). |
