PURPOSE:To peel a boiled egg without damaging the albumen, in high efficiency, by introducing a boiled egg together with water to a cylinder swivelling conically aroung a horizontal axis, from its immobile end. CONSTITUTION:A boiled egg 5 transferred by a conveyor is introduced into a cylinder 1 through an opening 15. The cylinder 1 is also supplied with water from a water supply pipe. The cylinder 1 is swivelled around a horizontal axis by a swivelling mechanism 3. One end of the cylinder is swivellably fixed with a bolt 14, and the boiled egg collides lightly to the inner wall of the cylinder near the entrance, and the eggshell is uniformly and finely crushed without peeling off from the albumen. As the egg moves from the middle part to the outlet of the cylinder, the circular movement of the cylinder becomes larger and larger, and the eggshell A and the shell membrane B are separated from the albumen C by the water intruded through the cracks of the membrane B between the albumen C and the shell membrane B. The boiled egg free of eggshell is taken out from an outlet 17. |
