PURPOSE:To prevent staining by transfer materials and improve the image quality of copying by providing the guiding part which guide removed matter to an end part to a member which rubs and sweeps the predetermined region of a developed image carrying body. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate 15a, vertical parts 15b, 15c and one end part of a weir part 15d are in pressure contact with a photoreceptor 1. The part 15d positions at the boundary of an image region and a nonimage region. The developing soln. having moved along the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is prevented from advancing by the plane plate 15a, and as it accumulates, it flows to the outside of the transfer region by being guided with the plane part 15a, the weir part 15d and the vertical part 15b. The thus guided developing soln. will not enter the image region of the photoreceptor again. Hence, the unrequired developing soln. sticking on the nonimage region of the photoreceptor 1 is removed to the outside of the transfer region before transfer process and this enables staining of transfer materials to be prevented and the image quality of copying to be improved. |
