<p>The bale-loader receives and collects bales into a batch and transfers them to a trailer, having a chassis (1) on wheels (2) accommodating an open-topped container (8) collecting the bales. The container is movable by a drive from a low position to an intermediate high one and tipped from the latter. A chute receives the bales as they emerge from the baler (4) and discharges them in line with an inlet notch (35) in the container, so that they enter the latter at the level of one of its sides. A guide linkage (36) for the bales, mounted on the container, closes the notch at the top, and is swung clear by an actuator to allow the container to lift and tip. Claws on the container opposite the notch hinge towards the latter to allow the bales to slide along them towards it, but to prevent movement in the reverse direction.</p> |
