PURPOSE:To enable a simple and reliable detection of a minute movement, by a method wherein one of two photofibers, arranged on the same axial line, is secured on a minute movement detector, and a minute displacement is detected by means of a light amount passing through a surface positioned facing and opposite to the two photofibers. CONSTITUTION:A photofiber 3 is supported in a stable condition by means of a supporter 4 mounted on a foundation 5. Meanwhile, one end of a photofiber 8 is fastened on a loss meter 9, and the other, positioned facing and opposite to the fiber 3, is supported through the medium of a fixing onject 7 coupled to a minute movement detector 6. The fibers 3 and 8 are adjusted so that they are aligned on the same axial line, and this causes a minute displacement of an end surface 8a of the fiber 8, positioned facing and opposited to an end surface 3b of the fiber 3, according to the minute movement detected by the detector 6. As a result, a light amount of a light from a light source 1, propagating through the fiber 8 via the fiber 3, changes according to the displacement. Thus, a simple constitution permits the reliable detection of the minute movement through the working of the loss meter 9. |
