<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a fixing device which does not cause jam and the like despite long-term use by separating a toner image supporting body from a heat fixing roller by means of a separating pawl formed of a specified material. CONSTITUTION:The toner image T of copying paper P is fixed by a heat fixing roller 1 or the like provided with a release coating 3 of tetrafluoroethylene etc. forming an outside circumferential surface to be coated with release liquid such as silicone oil by way of a release liquid coating roller 15, without causing offset on the roller 1. The copying paper P is separated from the roller 1 by a separating pawl 16. This pawl 16 is constituted of a member made by mixing 20-85wt% a tetrafluoroethylene resin of good release characteristic with a hard heat-resistant resin contg. glass so that the strength of the tetrafluoroethylene resin is sufficiently fortified. Consequently, the occurrence of jam owing to the wear of the tip of the pawl abutting on the roller is prevented despite long-term use.</p> |
