The nozzle is swivelable from one to another position and back such that the turntable rotates in one direction, is then braked and reversed to rotate in the opposite direction etc. and the rotational speed does not exceed a pre-determined value. The turntable may have a striker engaging a pin (3) on a spoke of a star wheel once per revolution, these star wheel pins successively entering radial slots in a rotatable disc to form a Maltese cross drive which, after a given number of rotational steps of this disc, swivels the spring loaded nozzle. Cleaning effect is maximised by limiting rotational speed of turntable and alternately reversing its rotation whilst at the same time shifting of the components and possible damage are prevented.
