PURPOSE:To permit omission of a supporting member by allowing a propeller shaft to penetrate through the bulge in the concave on the bottom of a ship and reducing the amount of protrusion of the propeller shaft, together with reducing the eddy-current resistance. CONSTITUTION:On the bottom 1 of a ship in its stern area, a concave 2 is formed, and in front of the concave 2, a bulge 3 is formed. A propeller shaft 4 penetrates through the bulge and protrudes outside a ship. Therefore, the necessity of the supporting member at the rear of the propeller shaft 4 is eliminated, and the amount of protrusion together with the eddy-current resistance can be reduced. |
