A thermometer with minimum-maximum indication has free-falling ferromagnetic marking elements in two communicating capillaries attached to a scale carrier. A permanent magnet can be moved between a point at which it fixes the marker positions and a point at which it allows them to fall freely. It is improved w.r.t. similar thermometers to be simply constructed, reliably in operation, and easy to use. The magnet carrier can be moved in and out via a parallelogram guide consisting of two levers (16,17). The actuating mechanism contains a slider (18) in a sliding guide (19,21). The slider engages the magnet carrier (13) so that when the slider is displaced the magnet carrier is moved between the two positions. The carrier is biassed into the fixing position by a spring (26).
|
