A water sterilisation appliance, based on the anodic oxidation principle, has a cylindrical purification chamber with an inlet on top and an outlet at the bottom. Spiral grooves along the inside wall act as restrictor channels for the water flow between the electrodes. One of them is a cylinder and forms the inner wall of the restrictor channels; the other consists of wire spirals which are embedded in the grooves. This appliance has a uniform purification action, even at very slow flow rates. No residual water is left in the cell after use so that no germ nuclei can arise.
|
