The set of components for constructing a building having several rooms comprises first components ( GAMMA ), each of which comprises a vertical leg (3), intended to form a part of a wall of one of the rooms of the building, and a pair of horizontal legs (5, 6) projecting from the upper part of said vertical leg and on opposite sides with respect thereto. Second ( GAMMA A) and third components, each of which has the same structure as that of said first components with the exception of the length of the two legs of said pair of horizontal legs: the length of the legs of the second components is shorter than that of said vertical leg and the length of the legs of the third components is longer than that of said vertical leg, so that a portion of said horizontal legs projects on at least one side with respect to said vertical leg. The building is constructed by joining together said components, working so as to superimpose parts of legs of said first and third components on said projecting portions of said vertical legs of said second components. <IMAGE>
