<p>An automobile safety tyre is filled with small spheres of rubber, plastics, or elastic plastics which are introduced into the tyre at an appropriate pressure after it has been fitted to the wheel. Pref., the spheres are at a pressure such that they bond together and cannot escape individually from the tyre if it is ruptured. The tyre is not filled with air under pressure, but solely with the spheres.</p> |
