Methods of making feminine hygienic pads from non-layered and layered material by use of folding, pressure moulding and various methods of bonding to create a long geometric form with e.g. an anterior leading panel 114 of narrow width and thickness and a thicker posterior panel 117 of a greater width and thickness. The folded panels may be bonded by either a suitable adhesive, crimping, heat, pressure or ultrasonic means leaving an anterior portion with a leading anterior edge 115 and a larger posterior portion. A filler 123 (e.g. of cotton, cellulose, viscose, rayon or polyester) maybe inserted between the folds of the material prior to bonding.
