<p>PURPOSE:To offer a new water disposal process which enables easy separation of adhesive sludge, by forcibly desiccating small carriers onto which active sludge from a fluid layer is adhered, and then drying the small carriers in a drier where a material to be dried is adhered to and split from other carriers. CONSTITUTION:Active sludge adhered onto small carriers (a) is used for water disposal. When an excessive amount of the active sludge is adhered onto the carriers, a part of the carriers and a part of water to be disposed are extracted and forcibly desiccated by a desiccator 5. The material to be dried is thereafter adhered onto other carriers A at a sludge supply portion 6c, fed to a packed layer 6a, and carried to a collecting portion 6d by a screw conveyer 6b, while the small carriers (a) are introduced to a drier 6 where the material to be dried will be split from the carrier A. A large amount of the sludge is adhered onto the carriers A and dried, so the separation can be done very easily. The small carriers (a) are returned to the fluid layer 2. Thus, the adhesive sludge can be rationally separated from the small carriers, and the water disposal can be done effectively.</p> |
