PURPOSE:A herbicidal composition for rice paddies that contains S-(2methyl-1,1- piperidyl-carbonylmethyl)-0,0-di-n-propyldithiophosphate together with a additional two specific compounds as active components, thus developing synergism is herbicidal effect. CONSTITUTION:S-(2-methyl-1,1-piperidiyl-carbonylmethyl)-0,0-n-propyldi thiophosphate, 2-methylthio-4-ethylmaino-6-(1,2-dimethylpropylamino)-S-triazine and 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxybutyric ethyl ester are dissolved in or mixed with a liquid or solid carrier at a weight ratio of (1-10):(0.1-5):(0.1-5). Further, they are combined with an emulsifier or dispersant to give a preparation of emulsion, wettable powder or granule. The resultant preparation is highly safe for rice plant and extremely low in injury to it. It can be applied through simple operations, being inexpensive, and shows herbicidal effects on a wide range of rice paddy weeds such as arrowhead. |
