Cavity wall facing structure bracket rail - has seams parallel to wall on bearing shank and pref. on fitting shank

The angular sheet metal rail, with a bearing shank carrying the screening blocks and a fitting shank, together with supporting tie-bars fastened to the inner skin, and space- retainers, make up an intercepting bracket for the facing masonry of a double-skinned wall. The bearing shank is fitted with seams running parallel to the masonry. The fitting shank may also have one or more similarly aligned seams. They may be semicircular, sinusoidal or zig-zagged in cross- section, and those on the fitting shank are pref. less than 10mm. deep.
