The mobile vertical conveyor used for the continuous unloading of bulk goods from ships, storage chambers etc. has a mainly vertical conveyor pipe and a worm drive conveyor positioned inside the conveyor pipe. Both the conveyor pipe (1) as well as the worm drive conveyor (3) are made to rotate in a pre-determined direction and both conveyor pipe (1) and worm drive conveyor may be operated independently. Alternatively the revolution of the conveyor pipe (1) through a coordinated drive, as well as the revolutions of the worm drive conveyor (3) through its own drive can be regulated independently, with the centrifugal force necessary for the conveyor action being largely produced by the conveyor pipe (1).
