PURPOSE:To finely disperse hydrophobic substances in a constituent layer. CONSTITUTION:Hydrophobic substances are dispersed in a polymer latex prepared by copolymerizing a monomer represented by general formula I with a hydrophobic monomer, and the dispersion is added to a constituent layer. Methacrylic ester, methacrylamide, vinyl ester, styrene or the ike is used as the hydrophobic monomer. The monomer of formula I is constituted by 0.1-40wt%. The hydrophobic substances include a coupler, an ultraviolet absorber and a DIR compound. A finely pulverizing process using a colloid mill is made unncessary. Substances apt to undergo air oxidation or having high reactivity can be dispersed.
