PURPOSE:To remove residual charge accumulated in a photoconductor, by providing a netlike heater on the photoconductor surface of a recording electrode consisting of a substrate, a conductor, and the photoconductor, and actuating the heater after completion of image transfer. CONSTITUTION:Transparent conductor 26 and photoconductor 28 are formed on transparent substrate 25, and further, about 250 mesh/inch heater 31 is provided on photoconductor 28. Recording paper 33 and opposite electrode 34 are provided under recording electrode 24, carriers are generated in the light illuminated parts of photoconductor 28, and primary electrostatic latent image 27 is formed by power supply 36. Latent image 27 produces corona discharge between itself and recording paper 33 to form secondary latent image 32 on the paper, and this paper is taken out in the direction (x). Residual charge 30 in photoconductor 28 is removed by heating of netlike heater 31 actuated with power supply 37 and switch 38. |
