PURPOSE:To prepare the titled kneaded material having a relatively coarse particle size in a short time in high yield, by feeding a kneaded carbon material bonded by a binder and rigid balls to a screen mesh of a vibrating screen to carry out the crushing and screening of the kneaded material simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:A carbon kneaded materiel obtained by kneading a crabon filler with a binder, e.g. phenolic resin for furan resin, and rigid balls, e.g. steel balls or alumina balls, are fed to a suitable screen mesh of a vibrating screen to make the rigid balls collide with one another by the vibration of the vibrting screen, crush and screen the kneaded material by the impact of the balls simultaneously. The resultant kneaded carbon material provides ready control of characteristics, e.g. viscoelastic coefficient, heat conductivity and electrical resistance of a molded article made therefrom. |
