The pump has two cylinders with reciprocating pistons moving out of phase with each other. An S-shaped discharge pipe (29) connects the cylinders alternately with the outlet piece (22). The discharge pipe pivots about an axis (L) through the outlay end. It has a spigot (53) cast integrally with it at the inlet end, which carries an inlet end bearing (30) in line with the outlet end. The walls of the pipe are thickened at the bends (V1,V2) where they are subjected to most wear. An elastic membrane (25) between the end of the discharge pipe and the outlet piece takes up axial clearance between them.
