A protection ring (1), which is produced from thermosetting plastic and is mounted on a threaded sleeve (2) by latching in on a collar (11) of said threaded sleeve, is contained in an electrical fuse holder. The protective ring (1) is for this purpose provided with lugs (6) which are constructed with attachments (7) which are tangential to a circle having a smaller diameter than the external diameter of the collar (11). The dimensional accuracy is of major importance, and the maximum diameter of the said circle is 30 mm for a collar having an external diameter of 31 mm. The threaded sleeve (2) is produced from a sleeve which is drawn from brass sheeting and has been equipped with a screw thread (9) by thread rolling. While the sleeve is being pressed, the said collar (11) and a further collar (10) are also integrally formed. <IMAGE>
