PURPOSE:To obtain the titled frit capable of maintaining high volume resistivity even at high temperature, and suitable for the manufacture of printed circuit board, by compounding a frit composition with a relatively large amount of an alkaline earth metal oxide. CONSTITUTION:The frit composition for enamel substrate, is composed of 4- 25wt% of Na2O+K2O, 5-45wt% of CaO+BaO, 20-50wt% of SiO2, and 10- 30wt% of B2O3. The alkali metal oxides are not restricted to Na2O and K2O, and may be substituted with Li, Rb, Cs, etc., and the alkaline earth metal oxides are also not restricted to CaO and BaO, and may be substituted with Be, Mg, Sr, etc. Addition of <=6wt% of ZnO to the frit of the present invention improves the chemical resistance, and addition of <= about 6wt% of Al2O3 improves the mechanical characteristics. |
