ION EXCHANGEABLE FILTER

摘要

PURPOSE:To combine the function of a filtration filter with the function of ion exchange resin by winding a fibrous ion exchanger on the outside or the inside of a cylinder consisting of material having water permeability to constitute an ion exchangeable filter. CONSTITUTION:The supporting pipes 7 are positioned to the central part of an ion exchangeable filter 1. The walls of the supporting pipes 7 are made porous so that water can be allowed to permeate them. Ion exchange yarn 8 is wound around the supporting pipes 7. The flow path of water to be treated is formed between an inlet pipe 5 and an outlet pipe 6. Water 21 to be treated is introduced into a vessel 3 through the inlet pipe 5 and thereafter passed through the ion exchangeable 7. Meanwhile radioactive substance in a particle region which is contained in water 21 to be treated is filtered with the bundle of the ion exchange yarn 8 and also the radioactive substance in an ionic region is trapped by means of the ion exchange capacity of the ion exchange yarn 8.
