<p>PURPOSE:To always obtain a proper light receiving output level even when various different fingers are inserted, by detecting the DC level of the light receiving output of the photoreceptor of the photoelectric sensor provided to a cuff and receiving the light emitted from a light emitting element and reflected from a finger and controlling the quantity of the light emitted from the light emitting element corresponding to the DC level. CONSTITUTION:At first, the lighting of an LED of a level 3 being a medium stage level is performed to judge whether the DC (pulse wave) level detected by a photodetector 16 is higher than a predetermined level. When the pulse wave level is high, the lighting level of the LED is increased by one rank and, when the pulse wave level is low, the lighting level of a light emitting element 15 is set to a level 2 contrarily and, when a level is proper at the level 2 or 3, the lighting of the light emitting element 15 is continued at that level as it is. When the pulse wave level is judged to be proper, it is judged whether a pulse wave is detected and, in such a state that no pulse wave is detected, it is judged whether cuff pressure is 20mmHg or less and the detection processing of the pulse wave is performed until the cuff pressure becomes 20mmHg or less.</p> |
