A photographic camera apparatus is provided with an exposure control system which includes a single photodetector and a pair of multi-apertured, counterreciprocating blade elements that cooperate in a pre-exposure mode to provide a photodetector output signal which is utilized to measure and indicate the presence of a low scene brightness condition requiring the use of an artificial light source to illuminate the scene, and thereafter cooperate, during an exposure mode, in a manner whereby the photodetector's output is utilized to control the amount of exposure delivered to film located within the camera.
|
