PURPOSE:To change reception sensitivity easily and securely by detecting the number of specific signals and by performing DX/LOCAL switching when the detected number is odd. CONSTITUTION:In auto search mode, a DX/LOCAL reception switching etc., on the detection of squelch signal SQ and then applied to DX/LOCAL reception switching circuit 2, which changes a tuner from a DX reception state over to a LOCAL reception state. If the radio wave of a desired broadcast is received as a result of the auto search, signal SQ is applied to input 102 of control part 1 to stop the auto search. The stop of the auto search ceases the DX/LOCAL reception switching signal output, so that tuner is changed over to the DX reception state. A means of detecting the number of signals SQ in this case is provided to change LOCAL over to DX when the detected number is odd. |
