ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECEPTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a nonpoisonous receptor with superior electrophotographic characteristics and light resistance by a simple manufacturing method by using poly-9-vinylanthracene as a photoconductor and a phthalocyanine compound as a sensitizer. CONSTITUTION:Purified 9-vinylanthracene is dissolved in anhydrous benzene and polymerized in an N2 atmosphere in the presence of TiCl4 as catalyst. The resulting poly-9-vinylanthracene is mixed and pulverized in ethyl acetate, and polyurethane resin and copper phthalocyanine, metal-free phthalocyanine or the like are added to prepare a dispersion. This dispersion is applied to an electrically conductive substrate to obtain a receptor superior to a receptor using other sensitizer in chargeability and light attenuation. This receptor has high sensitivity and satisfactory light resistance. In addition, it is inexpensive and free from harmful matter such as Se or Cd.
