PURPOSE:To enable to sufficiently make use of the characteristics of PTC ceramic, by constituting the toner heating source with the heater which is made of ceramic particles having PTC chracteristics scattered into binder. CONSTITUTION:The heater 3 is made by scattering the ceramic particles with PTC characteristics into binder and molding the result. Further, in case of using it as the heat source of the heating fixation device of toner image, a part of barium of barium titanate is replaced with other atoms like lead to increase the Curie temperature so that the operating temperature enabling to heat and fixate the toner image to the support can be set around the temperature to increase the resistance value rapidly. In this case, by setting the Curie temperature, around 140-210 deg.C to the operating temperature, the heater 3 is self-controlled to this set temperature, allowing excellent fixation without unevenness. |
