PURPOSE:To enable to set an optimum equalizer which is not influenced by a variation of the transmission characteristic, by checking plural number of times whether a signal which has been obtained through the equalizer has been corrected properly or improperly, and forming other equalizer in case its correction has been improper exceeding the prescribed number of times, as a result. CONSTITUTION:When a reference receiving signal S1 has passed through the equalizer formation part 1 and the demodulation part 2, if it has not been corrected properly due to the fact that the equalizer link of the formation part has been set improperly or the transmission characterstic has been varied by time, a signal S2 with large distortion is output from the demodulation part 2. While the reference signal is being sent out from the transmission side, the control CT part 4 outputs a timing signal S3 by a gate signal S6 to be input, to the detection part 3. The detection part 3 checks up the waveform state whenever the signal S2 is output, in accordance with the signal S3, and outputs a signal S4 according to whether it is proper or not, to the CT part 4. The CT part 4 checks the ratio as to whether the signal S4 is proper or not, and if the improper state is more, a signal 5 for increasing the equalizer link by one link is output to the formation part 1, according to which an equalizer having a different characteristic is formed one after another in the formation part 1, and an equalizer which is proper for the circuit at that time is selected. |
